Advanced Competitors: The top score competition has been canceled due to lack of sunlight.
The Tandem Challenge has been expanded to include Preliminary, Intermediate and Advanced levels. Katydid CDE is the only competition in the country offering this challenge.
This year our Judges will be Jan-Erik Pahlsson (FEI – I) from Sweden, Hardy Zantke from California (FEI – I) and Dana Bright from Pennsylvania (USEF – R). This jury will allow competitors to qualify their scores for the 2009 World Combined Pony Driving Championships (Germany) and 2009 World Pair Championships (Hungary). Course Designer will be Barry Hunter from Great Britain.
Immediately following the competition there will be a two-day clinic with Jan-Erik “Nicke” Pahlsson. Nicke has been a top international four-in-hand driver winning Team Silver (1984), Team Gold (1990), Team Bronze (1998) and Team Gold (2000) at the World Four-In-Hand Driving Championships. Nicke is also the coach for the Swedish Singles Team, leading them to a Team Silver Medal in 2006 and Team Gold Medals in 1998, 2002, and 2006, as well as several Silver and Gold individual medals.
